She was a former dietary aid at Riverside Medical Center and a member of the Pine Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Donald W. McNeese of Pine; two sons, Michael Mizell of Gonzales and Joey Mizell of Bogalusa; three daughters, Lynn Mizell and Rachel Mizell of Bogalusa and Christal McNeese of Pine; six step-sons, Jeffery Wayne McNeese of Pine, Donald Steven McNeese of Varnado, Joseph Michael McNeese of Franklinton, William Ladon McNeese and Eldridge Scott McNeese both of Thomas, and Marvin Randall McNeese of Crossroads; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ollie and Lori Hobgood and Stanley and Monica Hobgood, all of Pine; two sisters and brothers- in-law, Patsy and Johnny Ray Temples of Pine and Sandra and Ted Magee of Franklinton; eleven grandchildren; and 16 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, O.D. and Azile Pace Hobgood and a brother, Wayne Hobgood. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 4 pm. Until 10 p.m. Sunday. Visitation continued after 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Pine Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. at the church with Elder Clyde Cooper, Elder Glynn Erwin, Eld. Douglas Stuart and Eld. Willie J. Passman officiating. Pallbearers were Patrick Temples, Tracy Temples, Terri Magee, Mike Stuart, Travis Miley and Elmo McNeese. Hermon Wilmer Burch, 55, a resident of Mt. Hermon, died at 11 a.m. Sunday, January 5, 2003 at his residence. He was a truck driver for Diamond B Construction Company and a decorated U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam. He is survived by a daughter, Loretha Patterson of Mt. Hermon; three grandchildren, Hagan Shaughnessy, Logan Shaughnessy and Elizabeth Patterson; a sister, Geneva Barber of Mt. Hermon; two brothers, Junior Burch of Franklin, North Carolina and Jewell Burch of Mt. Hermon; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was receded in death by parents. U.H. and Loretha Barber Burch, a sister May Bell Keating; and two brothers, John Burch and Norman Burch. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Hermon, died Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at her residence. She was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. She is survived by a sister, Myrtle Holliday Smith of Kentwood. She was preceded in death by her parents, Modie Strahan and victor Holliday; and four brothers, Leo Holliday, Curtis Holliday, Milford Holliday and Reffie Holliday. Visitation was after 9 a.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Home until time for funeral services at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Joe Baugh officiating. She is survived by her husband, Marlon Friloux of Ama; a son, Brian Faircloth Jr. of Ama; two daughters, Shelly Faircloth and Jordan Friloux, both of Ama; a granddaughter, Shelby Faircloth of Ama; her mother and step-father, Joyce Elliott and Milfred Sheridan of Franklinton; a step-mother, Linda Roberts of Belle Chasse; a sister and brother-in-law, Tracy and Bryan Schexnider of Mt. Vessier, Franklinton Rene’ T. (R.T.) Vessier, 73, a resident of Franklinton, died at 10:05 a.m. Wednesday, January 8 at his residence. He was retired owner of Vessier Machine Shop (30 years) purchased in 1964, Square Dance Caller for 15 years entertaining dancers throughout South Louisiana and south Mississippi, served as club caller for T-Riffic Squares in Franklinton and he retired from square dance calling in 1997. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Toney Vessier of Franklinton; children, Toni Vessier Leuer and Joseph Leuer of Franklinton; children, Toni Vessier Leuer and Joseph Leuer of Bush, LA and Rene Thomas (Tom) Vessier, II of Franklinton; a brother, Leon Joseph Vessier, Jr. of Franklinton; three brothers-in-law, Fred Andrew Toney, Charles Hardy and Earle Brown; three sisters-in-law, Eula Grace Hardy, Frances Stringfield Toney and Peggy Ryan Vessier; six nephews, Alan McCain, Frank Brown, Robby Brown, Terry Toney, Pat Toney and Hal Burkhalter; six nieces, Nan McCain Wood, Ramona Andrews, Lisa Vessier Ackerman, Patty Vessier Hunt, Amy Vessier George and Teresa Simpson and numerous grand nieces and nephews. She was a member of Crain’s Creek Baptist Church and won numerous blue ribbons participating in many events at the Washington Parish Free Fair. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Tommy Hill of North Little Rock, AR; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Carlene Branch of Hialeah, FL; a brother, Max Brumfield of Franklinton; thirteen grandchildren including a special grandson, Dennis Pope; 23 great-grandchildren; one great- great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was receded in death by her parents, two husbands and a daughter, Doris Pope. Visitation was at Crain’s Creek Church from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 11. Funeral service was at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Willie J. Passman officiating. Pallbearers were her nephews. She is survived by five daughters, Dorothy Arlene Ridgeway of Oakland, CA, Onshella Vernon of Mt. Hermon, Willie Dean Nero of Houston, TX, C. Faye Buckner of Albuquerque, NM, and Sheryl Lynn Williams of Martinez, GA; two sons, Lenarver Magee of Mt. Hermon and Clyde E. Magee of Yuba City, CA; three sisters, Zaddie Sanders of Folsom, Elzie Brumfield of New Orleans and Mandy Lee Magee of Franklinton; two brothers, Zadoc Wilson of Mt. Hermon and Hugh Ellis Wilson of New Orleans; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation was at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Monday, January 13 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Plainview Church of Christ Holiness (U.S.A.) with Elder Albert J. Brumfield Jr. officiating. Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery.
