He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. He is survived by three sons, Nathan and Jill Moak of Bogalusa, David and Earline Moak of Franklinton, and Benjamin and Angela Moak of Plano, TX; three daughters, Cynthia and Art Martinez of Baton Rouge, Sylvia and Paul LaPointe of Jonesboro, GA and Lydia and Medi Asgari of Wilmington, NC; two sisters, Grace Burch of Mt. Hermon and Evonne Rouse of Houston, TX; nine grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia L. Moak; his parents, Percy and Maggie Roberts Moak; and two sisters, Margie Moak and Essie Penton. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p. m. on Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lyndle Bullard officiating. Pallbearers were Paul LaPointe, Jonathan LaPointe, David Moak, Jr., Lee Davis, Chris Forbes and Art Martinez. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Thompson Warren of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his father, Hosie Warren of Kentwood; two sisters, Bermonica Thompson and Brittany Warren of Tulsa; two brothers, Allen Eric (Tina) Kelly and Kelly and Allan Aric (Tantia) Kelly of Tulsa; his grandmother, Wilkie Lee Warren of Kentwood; his great-grandmother, Jessie Lee Thomas of Franklinton; nine aunts, Winifred T. Dyson and Linda Warren of New Orleans, Jeannetta (Josie) Johnson of Los Angeles, CA, Leona (Daniel) Wilson, Martha Lee Brown, Geraldine Patterson Thompson of Franklinton, and Orince Blackburn, Ethel Curtrer, and Dora Warren of Kentwood; two uncles, J.D. Thompson of Lacombe, and David Warren of Kentwood; three nieces, four nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral service was held Saturday, February 22 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Crain and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jerome Warren Sr. officiating. Interment was in the Greenback Magee Cemetery. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Era-Leader, Franklinton, LA 02-26-2003 Allean Williams, Slidell Allean Williams, 83, a native of Franklinton and resident of Greenbrier Nursing Home in Slidell, died Tuesday, February 18 at Northshore Regional Medical Center in Slidell. She was a member of the Starlight Missionary Baptist Church in Slidell. She is survived by a sister, Eary Magee of Los Angeles, CA; a brother, Lemmie Hart of Mobile, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jane Hart; her father, Solomon David Hart; ten brothers and five sisters. Visitation was Sunday, February 23 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home from 3 until 8 p.m. A funeral service was held Monday, February 24 at 12 noon at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Causey and Rev. Shovie Ducre officiating. Interment was in the St. James Cemetery. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Era-Leader, Franklinton, LA 02-26-2003 Helen Brandt Walsdorf, Franklinton Helen Brandt Walsdorf, 91, a native and former resident of New Orleans and recently a resident of Franklinton, died Sunday, February 23 at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton. She was the beloved wife of the late A.W. (Jack) Walsdorf. She was the adored mother of her only child, Gayle Foret and her husband, Dr. Gerald L. Foret. She is also survived by her grandchildren and their wives, Dr. Gerald and Jan Foret, Jr. and Dr. Christopher and Julie Foret; four great grandchildren, Lee, Drew, Janna and Ashley Foret; a sister, Yvonne Holt; a niece and her husband, Rohonda Holt Atkinson, Phd. And Thomas Atkinson, Phd; and a great-niece, Rachel Atkinson. Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home after 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 26 until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with the Reverend Lyndle Bullard, pastor of Centenary United Methodist Church officiating. Pallbearers are R.W. Richardson, John B. Green, grandsons Dr. Gerald Foret Jr. and Dr. Christopher, great-grandsons Gerald Foret III and William Andrew Foret. Honorary pallbearers will be great-granddaughters Janna and Ashley Foret. Interment will follow at Metairie Cemetery.
