He was a retired farmer and a member of San Pedro Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Evon Toney Seals of Franklinton; three sons, Travis Seals of Kentwood, Casey Seals of Tylertown, MS, and David Seals of Pine; six daughters, Martha Young, Audrey Barber, Kathleen Passman, all of Bogalusa; Elaine Passman of Franklinton, Barbara Hall of Pine and Cindy Seals of Covington. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bluford and Serena Varnado Seals. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday. Funeral services were held at San Pedro Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Ted Phillips and Elder Lavon Taylor officiating. Pallbearers were William Murle Seals, T.J. Brumfield, Doug Toney, Jimmy Odale Seals, Billy Seals and Travis Seals. Burial was in the San Pedro Cemetery. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Allie Bickham Allie Bickham, 96, died on Sunday, March 12, 2000 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Franklinton, LA. She was a former resident of 45548 Hwy 438 in Frnaklinton. She is survived by one daughter, Cleo Hewitt of Franklinton; five sisters, Nurcille Dillon of Tylertown, MS, Daisy Magee, Freddie Deveroux and Mannie Green of New Orleans and Thanie Magee of Franklinton; five brothers, J.D. Warner, Robert Warner, and Johnny Warner of Franklinton, Delos Warner of Chicago, IL, and Lucious “L.E.” Warner of New Orleans. Also survived by three grandchildren, Bennie (Robert) Hopgood, Emma (Gary) Dawson and Mary Deloris “Lois” (John) Nunnally, all of Cleveland, OH.; four great- grandchildren, Lisa Dawson, Tracey Dawson, Robert Hopgood Jr. and Trenton Nunnally; two great-great-grandchildren, Eric Jr. and Tyrone Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, many relatives and friends. Visitation ws held Friday, March 17 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Franklinton from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Greater Hayes Creek Missionary Baptist Church. The Reverend Jerome Warren officiated. Interment was in Greater Hayes Creek Cemetery. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ James W. Bickham James W. Bickham, 78, and a resident of Franklinton, died at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2000 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was also a retired carpenter. He is survived by three sons, Jimmie Bickham of Franklinton, Jerry Bickham of Pine and Hayes Bickham of Franklinton; eight grandchildren, Jerry Bickham, Craig Bickham, Nikki Bickham, Jason Bickham, Tommy Bickham, Kimberly Erwin, James Bickham, Clint Bickham. Also survived by two great-grandchildren, Colby Bickham and Chelsy Bickham. He was preceded in death by his parents Wilbur Hayes and Mattie James Bickham; a brother, Stanley Bickham; a daughter, Judy Bickham Erwin and a grandson, Scott Erwin. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Thursday and after 8:00 a.m. Friday. A funeral service was held Friday, March 17 in the funeral home chapel with Elder Ted Phillips and Elder Richard Magee officiating. Pallbearers were James Bickham, Clint Bickham, Jason Bickham, Tommy Bickham, Jerry Bickham and Bo Gatlin. Burial was in the Acy’s Creek Cemetery.
