She is survived by her husband, Houston F. Fruge, Sr. of Sulphur, Jerry Fruge of Franklinton, Lonnie Fruge of Sulphur, Davis (Jim) Fruge of Sulphur; three daughters, Linda Milton of Sulphur, LaDonna Fruge Perkins of Sulphur, and Evelyn Newman of India Atlantic, FL; seven brothers, Wilford John, and Joseph Richard of Sulphur, Leo and Leonce Richard of Port Barre, Gene Richard of Baytown, TX, and Knute Richard of DeRidder; seven sisters, Judy Nichols, Azalec “Yon” Thibodeaux, Winnie Rose Watson, Amy Bellard, Lillian Deville, Marie Young, and Laurie Daigle Leger all of Sulphur; thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation was held Monday from 8 a.m. until time Rosary/Scripture Services at 7 p.m. at Ruth St. Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at Our Lady of LaSaleme Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct 28, 1997 with Father Joseph Decoteau officiating. Burial followed in Roselawn Cemetery in Sulphur.
