Funeral Today for J. H. Holmes
Funeral services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. for Joseph H. Holmes, 50, 
brother of Mrs. R. E. Talley of Rio, and who was found dead at his home in 
New Orleans Wednesday. Death was due to a heart attack.

The funeral will be at Palestine church at Rio with the Rev. W. H. Ross 
officiating. Interment will be in Palestine Cemetery with Poole Funeral 
Home in charge of arrangements.

Besides Mrs. Talley, other survivors are a widow of Gulfport, one daughter, 
Barbara Jo Holmes of Gulfport, and his mother Mrs. Mary Harris of Rio.
