Magee, Died Monday Marion Monroe Magee, 73-year-old Franklinton real estate agent, died in Franklinton at the McGehee Clinic Monday morning following an illness of five months. Mr. Magee has lived in Washington Parish through most of his lifetime, and was one of the parish’s best known citizens. He had operated a number of businesses in Franklinton during his life. The deceased was a member of the Baptist church. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Spring Hill Cemetery near Franklinton with the Rev. Cantrell officiating Interment was in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Florence Voth Magee; six sons, M. Joel, W. Otto, Woodrow, Leeke, Robert and John Magee, all of Franklinton; two daughters, Mrs. Irma Fendlason and Mrs, Madaline Thompson, both of Franklinton. He is also survived by one brother, E.L. Magee of this city, one sister, Mrs. Ida Self of Franklinton, 20 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchildren.
