Aaron, a resident of 10th Avenue, Franklinton, 73 years old, died at 8 p.m. Sunday, January 5th, at the Riverside Medical Center. He was a retired manager of the W. E. Walker Store in Franklinton; served on the Franklinton Town Council from 1960 to 1962, was Franklinton Chamber of Commerce president and was a Charter Member of the Franklinton Rotary Club. A former chairman of the Board of Deacons of the First Baptist Church, where he also served as a Sunday School teacher and superintendent, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Inez H. Aaron of Franklinton; a son, H. Michael Aaron of Baton Rouge; tow brothers, William "Bill" Aaron of Crestview, Florida, and Clayton Aaron of Pensacola, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Maxine Milton of Montgomery, Alabama, and Mrs. Brownie O'Ferrell of Evergreen, Alabama; and two grandsons, Christopher and Chip Aaron of Baton Rouge. The body lay in state at the Crain Funeral Home until the time for funeral services, which were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 7th, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Jerry Barlow, Dr. A. W. Mitchell "Mike" Magee January 3, 1986 BOGALUSA - Mitchell "Mike" Magee, 39, a resident of Route Three, Franklinton, died at 4:45 p.m. Friday, January 3rd, at the Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Zack Magee, he was an employee of the Bogue Chitto Construction Company. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. JoAnn Jenkins Magee of Franklinton; a step-son, Nelson Wiggins of Franklinton; two step-daughters, Brenda Wiggins and Sandra Wiggins, both of Franklinton; a sister, Mrs. Murline Toney of Bogalusa; and two brothers, R. J. Magee of Franklinton, and Oricie Magee of Escatawpa, Mississippi. The body lay in state at the Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton until the time for funeral services, which were conducted in the funeral home chapel Sunday, January 5th, at 2 p.m. with Elder T. J. Michael Babington, Jr. December 13, 1985 BOGALUSA - Michael Babington, Jr., born June 14, 1911, a native of Franklinton and a resident of Los Angeles, California, died December 13, 1985. The body lay in state at the Utter McKinley Funeral Home until the time for funeral services, which were conducted at 11 a.m. December 18th, at the East Los Angeles chapel of the funeral home. Interment was in the Riverside National Cemetery, where a military gun salute took place at graveside. His survivors include his wife, Margot Babington of Los Angeles; and a sister, Mrs. Florence Oppenheim of Franklinton, Louisiana. Thomas Warren "Tom" Ford December 30, 1985 BOGALUSA - Thomas Warren "Tom" Ford, 83, a resident of Route Seven, Franklinton, died at 11:55 p.m. Monday, December 30th, at the Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton. A member and Sunday School teacher at the First Baptist Church, he also was a member of Franklinton Lodge Number 101, F&AM. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Mae Jones Ford of Franklinton; a son, Thomas W. Ford, Jr. of Mandeville; three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Patricia) Branch and Mrs. Robert (Deborah) Burris, both of Bogalusa, and Mrs. Ralph (Warrene) Hulse of Naperville, Illinois; a sister, Mrs. Earl (Iris) Tilton of Houston, Texas; and seven grandchildren. Hermon, died at 9 a.m. Saturday, January 4th, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Hammond, Louisiana. A member of the Bogue Chitto Church and the widow of Noel Bickham, she is survived by a son, Francis N. Bickham of Hammond; a granddaughter, Lisa Leffel of Baton Rouge; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Eulit (Alma) Burch and Mrs. Behla (Rose) Burch, both of Mt. Hermon. She was preceded in death by a son, Sedgie Bickham. She is survived by her husband, Johnny Arnold of Robert; a daughter, Jeannine Arnold of Robert; a son, John Osburn Arnold of Robert; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Osburn Corkern of Franklinton; a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Barbara) Creel of Franklinton; a brother, Greg Corkern of Albany; and her great-grandmother, Mrs. Clarence (Jenny) Corkern. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Clarence Corkern. Warner, III of Warnerton and Barry Warner of Baton Rouge; a sister, Mrs. Wiley (Lucille) Wood of Franklinton, and four grandchildren. Tynes, 90, a native of Kentwood and a resident of Baton Rouge, died Tuesday, at her residence. She was the widow of Farrar Tynes, formerly of Franklinton. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Winifred Dunn and Mrs. Lynelle Cournoyer, both of Baton Rouge; a son, Edwin F. Tynes of Bogalusa; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Robertson of Lacombe; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A graduate of Franklinton High School and of Mae's Beauty School, she was a member of the Wesley Ray United Methodist Church. She is survived by her parents, Christine Magee and James Magee, both of Franklinton; four sisters, Miranda Magee of Franklinton, Iris Bonner of Leesville, Betty Jones of New Orleans, and Verteal Patterson of Warwick, Rhode Island; and a number of other relatives. Magee, Roosevelt Magee, Mattie E. Magee, Lillian Bickham, Mildred Winters, Freddie Mae Taylor, and Iona Quinn, all of New Orleans, and Jean Paul Magee and Dornishey Wynn, both of Franklinton. A resident of Kentwood for the past year, she was a native of Tylertown and for many years lived in Bogalusa. The owner of Aylene's Studio in Bogalusa for many years, she was a well-known portrait photographer. The wife of the late Luther Mornhinveg, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Purnice Roberts of Mt. Hermon and Mrs. Wilkie Spurlock of Tylertown; and a number of nieces and nephews. The body lay in state until the time for funeral services, which were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 13th, in the chapel of the Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in Tylertown with the Rev. A native of the Stoney Point community near Franklinton, he was retired from the United States Marine Corps. Interment was in the U. S. National Cemetery at Riverside, California. Survivors include his wife, Miyoka; a son, Sherwood; two daughters, Brenda and Deborah; two granddaughters, two brothers, Alford Cox of Natchez, Mississippi and Bobbie L. Cox of Kenner; and a twin sister, Earline of Biloxi, Mississippi. The widow of John L. George, she is survived by two sons, Howard George of Franklinton and James George of Magnolia, Mississippi; three daughters, Mrs. Sarah Mizell and Mrs. Reuble (Rowena) Jenkins, both of Covington, and Mrs. Leroy (Ruth) Strahan of Amite; a brother, Ethel Provost of Franklinton; a sister, Mrs. Rosa Mizell of Bogalusa; 22 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
