Poole November 14, 1974 Franklinton native, John S. Poole retired employee of Illinois Central Railroad Company and a long time resident of Monticello, Mississippi died at his home about three thirty o'clock Thursday afternoon, November fourteenth at the age of eighty-two, following a long illness. The body lay in state at the Hartman-Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello until final rites were conducted at ten thirty Saturday morning, November sixteenth from the United Methodist Church in Monticello followed by interment in the Monticello Cemetery. Rev. Bert Felder, Rev. Kenneth Roberts and Rev. Blanton, of Columbus, Mississippi were the officiating clergy for the religious rites and active pallbearers were E. W. Mizell, Clyde Poole, Rev. James Poole, Steve Trotter, Dan Poole, Larry and Allen Trotter and Earl Rochester, Jr. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Leverette Buford Poole; one son, Ray Poole, Monticello; one daughter, Mrs. Herman (Frances) Trotter, Newton, Miss.; one brother, Rev. D. W. Poole, Gulfport, Miss., and four grandchildren.
