He was a native of Abilene, TX. He was a retired security guard. Born in Abilene, TX and then a resident of Magnolia, TX where he owned a Small Engine Repair business and a Security Business in Houston, TX. Mr. Rogers was also a Harris County Deputy Sheriff for ten years. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Claudette Nobles Rogers of Pine; one son, Robert Ray Rogers of Bulverde, TX; three daughters, Linda Nebbut of Montgomery, AL, Wanda Louise Lee of San Antonio, TX and Evelyn Ruth Rogers of Corpus Christi, TX; three step-sons, Richard Lamar Miley of North Carolina, Lawrence Miley of Angie, and Ronnie Coleman of LaVernia, TX; one step- daughter, Anitra Colet Miley, Netto of Abita Springs; one brother, William Dale Rogers of Athens, TX; fourteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation was held at Crain Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday until time for the funeral services. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, August25, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Walter Heinie officiating. The song service was conducted by Elsie Y oung Thomas and Wayne Young, member of (The Gospel Rhythm Masters). Burial followed in the McNeese Cemetery at Sheridan. Active pallbearers for Mr. Rogers were Claude Lawrence Miley, Lenny Nebhut, Jason Eddie Neeto, Bobby Nebhut, David Earl Nobles and Ronnie Coleman II. Honorary pallbearers were (his granddaughter), Letisha Nicole Claudette Netto, James Patrick Warner, and Don Rogers. He is sadly missed by his family and friends.
