Final Rites for John Sheridan, 88  November 17, 1974
 
 Eighty eight year old John M. Sheridan died at six forty five o'clock Sunday
 morning, November seventeenth at his home in Oak Grove Community near
 Franklinton.
 Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Marie Jones Sheridan; one son, Willie
 Sheridan, Franklinton; two sisters, Mrs. Linnie Carter, Bogalusa, and Mrs.
 Rebecca Carden, New Orleans, and three grandchildren.
 The body lay in state at the Oak Grove Baptist Church where final rites were
 conducted at two o'clock Monday afternoon, November eighteenth followed by
 interment in the church cemetery.
 Rev. Weber Jerrell was the officiate for the religious rites and Poole
 Funeral Home directed the services and pallbearers included: Houston
 Sheridan, Howard Sheridan Jr., Hubert Mizell, Bruce and Arnold Sheridan and
 Earl Knight.
