Thomas, II Mr. Simon S. Thomas, II, 71, a resident of Thomas died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at his residence. He was a retired dairyman and also a retired deputy sheriff. He was a member of Thomas First Baptist Church. Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Elizabeth B. Thomas of Thomas; two sons, Steve W. Thomas and Mike D. Thomas both of Thomas; three brothers, Phillip Ray Thomas, Dewey Thomas, and Douglas Thomas, all of Thomas; six sisters, Elizabeth Thomas, Jenette Ahlman both of Thomas, Waver Jordan, Isabel Hayman, Ledonia Hill, and Ada Merle Menish all of Bogalusa; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home from 6 p.m. till 10 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Funeral services were held at Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rick Wood officiating. Burial followed in the Thomas-Carnegie Cemetery at Thomas. Active pallbearers for the service was Jeff Thomas, David Thomas, Ronald Bello, Mike Blackwell, Van Thomas, and Pete Thomas. Honorary pallbearers for the service were, John Forbes, Jimmy Blackwell, Jerry Hill, Richard Jenkins, Bill Durden, Tom Mosley, Jerry Thomas, and Harold Thomas.
