Mr. Oliver Van Dan, 81 died Tuesday, August 26, at Forrest General Hospital 
in Hattiesburg, MS.  

He was a member of Tylertown Baptist Church.  

He is survived  by his wife, Betty Marie Creekmur Van Dan of Tylertown, MS;  
four sons, Robert Van Dan, and Wilmore Wayne Van Dan of Tylertown, MS, Gilmon  
Blayne Van Dan of Brookhaven, MS, and Oliver Bartis Van Dan of Tylertown, MS;  
two daughters, Nithea Lethin Van Dan Wood of Tylertown, MS, and Patricia Ruth 
Van Dan Weaver of Madison, MS; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren;  
one brother, Clanrence Ban Dan of Waldorth, WI; adn three sisters, Lena Turner  
of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Cornelia Johnson of Brockford, IL, and Phyllis Nelson  
of Danfield, IL.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Aaron Van Dan; and his mother, Alice  
Myers Van Dan.  

Visitation was held from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday at Capps Funeral Home  
and from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral services.  

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug 29, in the funeral home  
chapel with Dr. David Sellers officiating.
