She was a former resident of Mt. Hermon and a resident of Franklinton. She is survived by seven daughters, Jo Ann Maxwell of Franklinton, Lenett Watson of Baton Rouge, Arlean (Samuel) Wilson, Claudette (Robert) Speaks, and Bronis (Clyde) Bell all of New Orleans, Emma D. Watson of Chicago, IL, and Dell (Anthony) Wheaton of Kauai, HI; six sons, Godfrey (Corrine) Wastson of Warnerton, LA, Beris Watson, Jr. of Franklinton, Hollis (Doris) Watson, Russell (Terri) Watson, Jefferson (Geneva) Watson, and Jessie Leo Watson all of New Orleans; three sisters, Idena Dyson of Franklinton, Cora Magee of Baton Rouge and Gladys Brumfield of Chicago, IL; one brother, Melvin Brumfield of Nile, MI; twenty-seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters- in-law; one brother-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held Friday, September 5, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 6, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Causey officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
