Williams, 64m, a resident of the Hilltop community died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lallie Kemp Hospital in Independence. He was a retired foreman with the Washington Parish Police Jury and a member of the United Baptist Church in Bogalusa. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Jenkins Williams of Hilltop; two daughters, Charlotte Sheridan of Bogalusa and Bridgett Creel of Franklinton; three step-children, Nelson Wayne Wiggins of Angie, Sandra Sue Guillot of Thibodeaux, and Brenda Joyce Alsobrooks of Angie; his mother Rilma Breland Williams of Franklinton; one sister Mavis Brumfield of Franklinton; also ten grandchildren. His father Levy H. Williams preceded him in death. Visitation was at the Crain Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Eld Preston Alsobrooks and Rev Joey Miller, Rev. L.D. Whitfield officiating. Burial followed in the Hilltop Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers for the service were Huey Thompson, Lionel Cotton, Tracy Schillings, Carlos Jenkins, Tim Ard, and Larry Dale Williams. Honorary pallbearers for the service were Ernest Miller and Douglas Guillot.
