Sibley, La. -Gravesite services for Mrs. Nell Beard, 81, of Sibley, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 7, 
at Andrews Chapel Cemetery in Heflin, La. Arrangements are under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in 
Minden. 

Mrs. Beard died Saturday, October 5, 1991, at the Minden Medical Center following a lengthy illness.  She was 
born in Sibley, where she was a
lifelong resident of the Yellow Pine Road Community.  She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Beard; one son, Paul W. Beard.

She is survived by one son, John H. Beard, Jr. of Heflin; two sisters, Stella Drewett of Dallas, Texas, and Bessie 
Varnado of Lake Charles, La.; six grandchildren, Ricky Beard of Dixie Inn; Randy Beard of Sibley;  Paula Beard
Lucas of Minden; Patricia Beard Castillo of Houston, Tx; Cindy Beard of Sibley; Jackie Wayne Beard of Sibley; 
 and nine great-grandchildren.

Submitters NOTE:  Nellie Florence Hooper  Beard was the daughter of James Buchannan Hooper and Mollie E. Farrier. 
She was born November 24, 1909.  Her mother, Mollie, was from Washington County, Alabama, while her father was
 born in Sibley, or was in those days known as Lanesville.
