Minden LA - Funeral services for Barbara Davis Brunson, 67, will be held at 2 
p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2001, at Rose-Neath's Minden Chapel. Officiating will be 
Rev. Ed Cooper. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Minden, LA.

Mrs. Brunson passed away Friday, June 8, 2001 in Bossier City, LA, following a 
lengthy illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Minden, LA. Mrs. 
Brunson was a cashier with OJ's Food Market and was a charter member of 
Northacres Baptist Church, formerly Southside Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, F. L. "Buddy" Brunson and parents, 
Kate and Bruce Davis.

Survivors include a son and special friend, Lane Brunson, Dallas, TX; five 
daughters, Patricia Harper and husband Pat, Sibley, LA; Kay Perez and husband 
Eddie, Dubberly, LA; Sherry Whitman and husband Tommy, Homer, LA; Melissa 
Evans and husband Chris, Bossier City, LA; and Kristi McGowan and husband 
Jeff, Minden, LA; two sisters, Lanelle Roberts and husband C.A. "Buzz", Pine 
Bluff, AR, and Chris Tucker and husband Bill, Elysian Fields, TX; two 
brothers, Buddy Davis and wife Elaine, Shreveport, LA, and Louis Davis and 
wife Kitty, Haughton, LA; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank two very special people in her life, sister-in-
law, Elaine Davis and good friend, Jimmy Powell. They would also like to 
express their gratitude by extending a special thanks to the Nursing Staff of 
the Summit Hospital CCU, Willis-Knighton Bossier, Dr. Nathan, and all other 
loving friends who helped during this difficult time.

Memorials may be made to the Brushwood United Methodist Church c/o Kay 
Simolke, 384 Irvine Rowland, Dubberly, LA 71024.
