Officiating will be Rev. Oliver Thomas, assisted by Rev. Don McCormick. Mrs. Hawk died Wednesday, April 26, 1995, at 12:45 p.m. at IHS (formerly Meadowview Nursing Home) of Minden, after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Brokenbow, Neb., and had lived in the Minden area for the past 42 years. She was a housewife and a member of First Southern Methodist Church of Minden. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. C. Hawk; one son, Jack Hawk; and one daughter, Violet Cardwell. Survivors include two daughters, Beatrice Cockrell and husband, C. D. of Minden and Mrs. Frieda Plunkett, also of Minden; one sister, Lillian Todd and a half-sister, Florence Shipley, both of Grand Junction, Col.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
