Services for Mrs. Irene L. Montgomery, 99, will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, July
9, 1990 at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel.  Officiating will be the Rev.
Crawford Williams, pastor of Ingleside Baptist Church.  Burial will be in
Doyline Cemetery in Doyline, La.

Mrs. Montgomery died Friday, July 6, 1990 at Westwood Manor Nursing Home
following a brief illness.  She was born in Minden, La. and had been a
Shreveport resident since 1927.  Mrs. Montgomery was a homemaker and a member of
Ingleside Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Fletcher Montgomery of Shreveport and Ira W.
Montgomery of Shepard, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Mildred Jones of Alvin, Texas;
eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
