OBITUARY: The Shreveport TImes, 28 Oct 1989

Springhill, LA - Services for Sallie Gamel Pace, 94, will be held at 4 p.m., 
Saturday, October 28, 1989 at the Bailey Mortuary Chapel in Springhill with 
the Rev. Gary Hornaday officiating. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery.

Mrs. Pace, a native of Claiborne Parish, La. and a lifelong resident of this 
area, passed away Friday, October 27, 1989 in Haynesville, La. after a long 
illness. She was a member of the Methodist Church and a homemaker.

She is survived by a daughter, Janice Taylor of Springhill; two sons, Drew 
Pace of Farmerville and Sherman Pace of Springhill; one half-sister, Jodie 
Atkins of Shreveport; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.



Additional Comments:
Sallie was the wife of Oscar Samuel Pace, who died in 1979. The had children: 
Sherman, Drew & Janice PACE
