William Stevens Sr. 

SPRINGHILL - Services for William Delaney Stevens Sr. will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Central
Baptist Church with the Revs. Ron Harvey and Kenneth Everett officiating. Burial "I will be in 
Springhill Cemetery under 

direction of Smith Funeral Home, Hope, Ark. Stevens, 75, 
of Springhill died Tuesday, July 27,1999, in Springhill 

Medical Center. He was a retired 
electrician with International Paper Company of Springhill, a veteran of World War 11 and a 
member of Central Baptist Church. He was a native of Lafayette County, Ark. 

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Matthews Stevens of Springhill; one son, William Delaney
Stevens Jr. of Alexandria; two daughters, Kay Gipson of Springhill and Beth Smith of Nacogdoches, 
Texas; two sisters, Doris Payne of Springhill and Hattie Formby of Plaquemine, La.; seven grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
