No. 553 By Virtue of a commission to me directred in the above entitled succession of date the 26th day of January, A.D., 1859, from the 6th District court in and for said Parish and State, will be offered for sale atpublic auction to the last and highest bidder at the last place of residence of the deceased, in this Parish on Thursday, 3d day of march, 1859, at 11 o'clock, A.M. all the heeinafter described property belonging to the aforesaid succession, to-wit: A certain tract of land situated in this Pareish measuring one aprent and a half, more or less, front to the River Missisippi, with a depth of sixty-five arpents more or less, the upper line opening two degrees more of less in the rear, it being well understood that, at about twenty-three arpents from the river there is one arpent of said land belonging to Valmont Ferbos, running to the rear line of the same, said one arpent of land running between parrellel lines; the land first above described and belonging to the succession of the deceased, is bounded above by lands belonging to Widow Rosemond Hebert, and below by lands of Isidore Daigle and Valmont Ferbos, and in the rear by those of James Phillips, together with all the buildings and improvements thereon. Frank, negro man aged 40 years, sickly; Polly, negro woman aged 55 years; Davis, negro man aged 44 years; Tom, negro man 32 years; Wrigdom, aged 34 years, John, negro man aged 44 years; Dick, negro man aged 42 years, Gilbert, negro man aged 18 years; Old Dick, negro man aged 74 years; Caroline, mulatto woman aged 55 years, Locinda, negro woman aged 55 years, Mariane, negro woman aged 18 years; Adele, negro woman aged 16 years; 34(or 84) years; and (not readable) 15 years (crippled).
