He was 56 and a resident of Port Allen. He was killed tragically in a train accident on Monday, June 26, 2000. He was an engineer with the Canadian National Illinois Central Railroad for more than 30 years. He was president of the Brotherhood of Local Engineers 914 and chairman of the Louisiana State Legislative Board of Engineers. He was a native of Bogalusa and a resident of Pierre Part. He was founder of TLC Mobile Medical, a portable X-ray service in Louisiana and Alabama. He was known throughout the nursing-home industry in both states for playing Santa Claus to thousands of residents for 15 years. He also played Santa Claus on his Sea Doo in the annual Belle River Christmas Boat parades. He was an entrepreneur, a staunch believer in alternative medicine, and gladly shared his knowledge, love and trust with everyone he met. He was in the cardiopulmonary service business at the time of his death.
