Owens, Mr. & Mrs. R. W. Oldham. This one room school was located up the Beebe Road. Bro. Ward with other preachers filled the pulpit. Later a new school was built on the N. When the second new school house burned the church was held in various houses in the community. At the time, church was being held in the new school house and homes. Bro. Fair and Bro. Smith also filled the pulpit at that time. The first church building was finally completed with siding, etc. Then in 1951-52 the first church burned. Since that time the present church has been built and the parsonage also. In the fall of 1962 the second unit of the present church was built. Margie R. Pearce URL: www.angelfire.com/la/ancestors
