Caroll Parish, Louisiana - July 3, 1837

Statement from Abel Herrin, that in 1833 he cultivated corn, cotton, and a 
vegetable garden.  He had a dwelling house and resided with his family on the 
south side of Iron Bayou 6 miles above the state Road- 1/2 miles from Bayou 
Macon.
John DeHart stated tha Abel Hierrin statement was true because he had lived on 
the Bayou Macon since 1825.
