Long Dear Senator: After getting the news of the damnable rumblings of the Standard Oil to put into effect the desires of all the Shimies, and of all the Brutuses, and Bendict Arnolds this side of a yawning Hell to accomplish a deed so cowardly that no one would recognize among civilized citizens. We want you to know that we are heart and hand with you in all your undertakings, for we feel like you are the Poor Man's friend, and we know to what class we belong, and to know what deep chasms of sin and degredation we think these people have already gotten: it brings our minds into an awful plight. We are proud of the record our Senator has made, and sincerely regret such murderous attempts on your life. We do this to show you that your interests are our interests, and if necessary, we will do all in our power to hold up for law and freedom, and to enhance the value of our Grand old State. We are yours for service, and may God keep you. L. B. Pearce E. H. Edwards D. L. Pearce J. B. Stark C. H. Stark J. C. Stark L. A. Stark L. A. Martin E. B. Pearce C. W. Pearce R. W. Oldham J. R.
