August 15, 1915 Mrs. Fannie C. Wilson was born in Texas on Sept. 15 1864. Was married to William Cooper Wilson on November 1, 1883; died two miles south of here Monday morning at 7 o'clock of swamp fever after a two week's illness. " Smooth the locks of silver hair, On our mother's brow with tenderest care, Gather the robe in final fold Around the form so still and cold; Lay on her bosom, pure as snow, The fairest sweetest flowers that grow, Kiss her and leave her our hearts delight Her pain is over she sleeps tonight. After a long, busy and useful life she died as she lived--honored, trusted and loved. She reared her own monument while she lived in the hearts of all who knew her. Her life was completed if work all done and well done constitutes completion. Her Christian life was beautiful from its beginning to its close, and through all the vicissitudes and sorrow that she met in the way, her faith in God never wavered. The last services were held at the home Tuesday at 11:30 o'clock, Rev. G.D. Purcell, officiating and paying a beautiful tribute to the memory of the deceased. At the close of the services a long rocession followed the funeral car to Oak Grove Cemetery where she was laid to rest at 1:30 p.m. She leaves her husband, 3 sons and 3 daughters.
