West Carroll Gazette-Oak Grove, La. May 18, 1939
  Final rites for Mrs. Dave L. Posey 74, who died last Thursday at 5;30 p.m. 
were the following day at 10:30 a.m. at the Forest Cemetry, four  miles west 
of there, with the Rev. Mr. Robertson, officiating.  Death occurred after an 
illness of two weeks at the home of her son, J.R. Posey, near Holly Ridge.
  The deceased was a native of Mississippi and until recently had been a 
resident of Terry community for a number of years.
  Surviving are one sister; five daughters Mrs. Joe Ragland, Mrs. Vester 
Prisack, Mrs. E.B. McGowan, Mrs. Ellis Ragland, Mrs. Ben L. Griffin; four 
sons, J.R. Henry, Waler and Wallace Posey; 58 grandchildren; and 44 great 
grandchildren.
