Mobley http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00028.html#0006760 July 25, 2010, 1:03 pm West Carroll Gazette January 11, 1940 Miss Zeola Albritton, a member of the Forest High School faculty and one of the oldest teachers in point of service in the West Carroll school system, died at 1 P.M. Wednesday. Funeral services for the deceased, who was a sister of the president of the parish school board, O. Albritton of Kilbourne, will be held this afternoon near Downsville in Union Parish, where she was reared. The 55-year-old woman who had been second grade teacher in the school at Forest for nearly 10 years had been ill health the past few seeks, having suffered a stroke of paralysis about a month and a half ago. She had been teaching in West Carroll schools for approximately 30 years, serving at one time at Floyd when it was the parish seat. Classes were dismissed at the Forest School at noon today, and a majority of faculty members wre to accompany the body to Union Parish for the final rites.
