West Carroll Gazette-Oak Grove, La. February 2, 1939
  S.J. Johnson, 38, tenant on the Benton place, succumbed to pneumonia 
Saturday at 10:40 a.m. near Minden while enroute to a Shreveport hospital
in an ambulance.
  Funeral services were conducted for the deceased in the red Wing Community, 
Monday at 11:00 a.m. 
  It is believed that two brothers survive the deceased, one living in Alabama 
and the other in Georgia.
