June 30, 1938 Final rites for Warren Scott Wright, 54 former well known local residence who died suddenly at 4:20 Friday afternoon at his home in Minden, were conducted Saturday. Brief services were held at Minden and the body was taken to Harrisonburg for interment. Many from this section attended the services there. Mr. Wright, who, with his family resided here from 1928 until two years ago when he moved to Minden to head the Webster Abstract Company, died of a cerebral hemorhage. He had been busy in his office most of the day but, during the afternoon, went home when he felt ill, accompanied by Mrs. Wright. He died shortly afterward. The deceased, favorably known by a wide circle of friends, was considered a leader in the abstracting and land title field. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Bill Dickinson of Minden; one son, Louis W. Wright of Minden; his mother Mrs. N.J. Wright of Rayville; four sisters, Mrs. Jeanette Norwood of El Dorado, Ark., Mrs. Nancy O'Neil, Mrs. Louise Hutchinson and Miss Annie Wright, all of Minden.
