Braswell passed from earth to Heaven on the morning of May 13, 1914, at 3:30. He was born March 5, 1848, thus living 66 years 2 months and 8 days. He leaves four children, two sons and two daughters, to mourn his loss, his wife and son having gone on before to welcome him home. His health being very bad, he went to Hot Springs for treatment. There he became the victim of puenmonia with which he couldn't rally many days. All that skilled physcians and nurses could do was done but their efforts were in vain. A message was sent to his children carrying the sad news, and upon reaching his bedside, he failed to recognize them. His remains were brought back and laid to rest by the side of his wife in the Williamson Graveyard to await the resurrection of the Just. Upon arrival of the train the Masonic brethren took charge of the body to pay their last respect and love for him. Bro. Braswell was a member and Deacon of Beulah Church and a man who trusted in God and loved his brethren. There is no doubt of Bro. Braswell's religion, for didn't he let his light shine? about his Father's business. He opened his mouth with wisdom, he spoke with understanding; but God giveth and God taketh away, Blessed be the name of the Lord. Yes, the river we must all cross, as Bro. Braswell has crossed. Who has the vessel and ticket in hand, to cross as he has crossed, to the place of holy land? Ah, as my pen runs the line, I think of the loved ones left behind. But as God has gently spoken, the earthly chord was broken, as He takes them one by one, be ready to go to Heaven then your sorrow will all be done. Who will fill his place; who will take is race; who will see his face around God's Holy place? Weep not dear children, weep not, for father;s trials are o'er and he is baking in the sunlight of Father Jehovah. His Pastor, R.N.
