Richard Goodwin and Gracy Blanton, both colored, charged with having robbed and burned the store of A.L. McBain, were taken from jail by a body of masked and armed men and hung to a tree about a half mile north of town. Goods were found in their possession which had been stolen from the store, and the woman confessed everything. # # #
