Herring will regret to learn that he will move form Floyd to Jackson, Miss., where his children will have better school advantages. He, with his mother and children, expect to leave one day next week. O course, Jim will make frequent visits to West Carroll where he has large planting interests. The old Herring home will be occupied by Mr. and Mrs. R.F. Cummins. Rev. G. W. Land will begin another meeting here on Wednesday, Sept 10, to last about ten days . He will be assisted by the State Evangelist, Rev. J.J. Smylie, of Arcadia, who recently assisted Bro. Land in a ten days meeting at Forest when there were sixty accessions to the Baptist Church, 39 by baptism and the balance by letter. Mrs. B.F. White and Mrs. Emily Jackson, returned on Tuesday from New York City, where they have been since July 4 attending Columbia University. The trip from New York to New Orleans was made by water on the S.S.Comus, one of the Southern Pacific's platial steamship. Miss Emily has accepted a position as teacher in the Shreveport High School.
