Rally Day at Floyd Next Sunday

  Next Sunday will be Ralley Day at Floyd.  The members of the Floyd Sunday 
School are getting up an interesting program for the occcasion.  Rev. P.O. 
Lowery, Sunday School Missionary for the Louisiana Conference of the M.E. 
Church, South, will be on hand and fill the pulpit at the morning and evening 
hours.  Everbody is cordially invited to attend.


Protracted Meeting closed Wednesday Night

The protracted meeting which has been going on here at the Baptist Church for 
the past ten days, came to a close Wednesday night.  There were eitht 
accessions to the Baptish Church, five by baptism and three by letter, and two 
joined the Methodist Church.  Rev. J.J. Smylie, of Haughton, La. who has been 
assisting Rev. G.W. Land in the meeting, returned home yesterday morning.
