   CARPENTESS, TAKE NOTICE!

  The School Improvement League would like to receive bids for the making of 
six lawn seats to be used on the school ground.  Four of these seats to be 4 
feet long and two of them to be 6 feet long.  They must be substantially made 
and given two coats of paint.  Cypress to be used for the ends and oak slats 
for the seat and back.

      ICE! ICE! ICE!

  I have just received a carload of Monroe ice and will sell you 100 punds 
(weighed) for 50c.  All orders along the E.& G. railroad will be filled 
promptly.  Bear in mind, express rates are much cheaper from Oak Grove than 
from Tallulah or Eudora, so it will pay you to buy your ice from me.
