July 9, 1915 Died at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. S.E. Briggs, on Friday at 7:30 p.m., Lucille, the three year old daughtr of Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Williams. A brief funeral service was held at the Briggs home Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. C.D. Purcell, pastor of the Methodist Church. Many of the relatives and friends of the sorrowing family were present and as they looked upon the sweet, placid little body in its white casket, and surrounded by beautiful and fragrant flowers yet not more beautiful or pure than the little face with their hearts swelled in sympathy for the breaved family. But let us not think of little Lucille as dead but as living; not as a flower that has withered, but as one that has been transplanted and touched by a Divine hand, is blooming richer color and sweeter fragrance than those on earth. "There is no death. The stars go down To rise upon some fairest shore And be right in Heavens Jewell crown They shine forever more.
