June 30, 1938 Mrs. Emma Sharbono Feguson 36-year-old wife of L.M. Ferguson and mother of an 11 year old daughter, Melba Dell, died at the family home southeast of Darnell June 8. She had been ill for 12 days. Funeral services were held the following afternoon at Midway Cemetery, south of Epps, where she was buried. The Rev. A.L. Russell, pastor of the Epps Baptis Church, officated. Besides the husband and child, the deceased is survived by her mother, Mrs. Amelia Sharbono, of Port Arthur, Texas and three sisters, Mrs. L.V. Smith and Mrs. T.O. Williams, both of Port Arthur and Mrs. I.w. Clark, of Verda.
