Carroll Banner August 9, 1890
 Died at 10:00 last Tuesday morning at Lake Providence at age of 73 born in 
1817.  He was a resident for 50 years.  He served in the Mexion War and was 
last of the old veterans in this Parish.  He was wounded in the war and was 
drawing a pension.  He was buried in the family graveyard of the Gaddis on 
Cunninghan Place last Wednesday Morning at 9:00. A time honored old man has 
gone to rest.
