West Carroll Gazette-Oak Grove, La. October 2, 1939
  The father of H.M. Thomas, West Carroll supervisor of schools, W.H. Thomas. 
68, prominent and lifelong resident of he womack community, Jackson Parish, 
died in a clinic at Hodge Saturday.  The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 
Ebenezer Baptist Church.  The Rev. Wingate, of the Chatham Baptist Church, 
officiated.
  The deceased is survived by his wife, two sons and five daughters.
