All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** 94 YEAR OLD EPPS CITIZEN DIES SUNDAY AT HOME OF DAUGHTER (By Mrs. Roy Crow - Gazette Correspondent at Epps) Funeral rites for Mrs. Elizebeth Brock, 94 years old, who died Sunday morning in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Jackson, Epps; were held at the Epps Baptist Church Monday morning at 11 o'clock the Rev. L.R. Russell officiating. Interment was in Midway Cemetery. Mrs. Brock was one of the oldest citizens in the parish. She was born and reared in Franklin parish, where she married the late Mr. Joe Crow, and two children were born to their union. She later married the late Mr. R.J. Brock, moving to West Carroll parish, and five children were born to their union, one of whom is surviving, Mrs. Joe Jackson of Epps. Mrs. Brock was a member of the Baptist church for 81 years, and was an active member as long as her health would permit. Mrs. Brock is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Joe Jackson, Epps; Twelve grandchildren, Mrs. T.E. Lusk, Willie and Ernest Brock of Epps, Eugene and Jesse Brock of Sterlington, Mrs. Alice Barnes of Ringgold, Joe and Claud Crow of Cotton Valley; Bartee Crow of Ada, Okla.;Mrs. Leon Roberts of San Augustine, Texas; Mrs. Doc Steed of Ashland, Ala.; and Mrs. Pauline Van Cleve of Gibsland; fifteen great grandchildren, Mrs. Ramon Pulley of Bossier City; Sybil Crow and Ben Crow of Cotton Valley; Lola Mae Barnes and Roy Hale Barnes of Ringgold; Melvin Crow and Babara Jean Crow of Ada, Okla.; Billie Joe Crow and Iris Jean Crow of Talco, Texas; Mary Louise Roberts and Martha Gill Roberts of San Augustine, Texas, W.A. Lusk and Janet Lusk of Epps; and Bobbie Jean Brock of Sterlington; one great-great-grandchild, Caroline Rae Pulley of Bosier City.
