An old Veteran Gone to His Reward

Walter J. Davis age 70 years died at 9:00 o'clock last Sunday night at his 
home near Forest.  He had been sick for a month.  He leaves a wife, a lot of 
grandchildren, neices and newphews.  He was a brave, true good soldier under 
the gallant Joseph Wheeler of the Cavalry during the Civil War.  His passing 
away leaves only a half dozen more of the old veterans remaining out of the 
twenty odd that assembled at the Forest Renunion 5 years ago.
