Mrs. Godwin was a resident of Darnell. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Gay's Funeral Home Chapel here with the Rev. Jack Mulkey officiating. Interment will be in Forest Cemetery. Surviving are her husband, W. S. Goodwin of Darnell, three sons, Thomas Cook and Calvin Goodwin, both of Pioneer, and Earl Goodwin of Darnell; two daughters, Mrs. Maybelle (Sic.) Bartlett* of Rayvile and Mrs. J. R. Goodwin of Pioneer; a stepson, Clyde Goodwin of Newellton; two brothers, Sam Bartlett of Colfax and Ed Bartlett of Simsboro; a step-daughter, Mrs. Uernie Markham (Sic.: Vernie) of Springhill; 28 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. REMARKS: My ggrandmother died on 03/11/1965. Maibelle Bartlett (* name spelled incorrectly) was my paternal grandmother. I have photos of the tombstone. --- Ray Bartlett
