Huff, 20 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar C. Huff of near Oak Grove, was killed in action January 28 in Italy, his parents were advised by the war department this week. He had been serving in an infantry outfit overseas, six months. Earl was inducted into army service about one year ago. At the time of his induction, he was a student at Northeast Junior Collage, Monroe. Besides his parents, he is survived by three brothers, Ercil, now serving somewhere in the south Pacific war area, Milford and Leon Huff, and one sister Cleo Huff. Contents of the telegram received by Mr. and Mrs. Huff follows: "The secretary of war desires to express his deepest regret that your son, Private Earl S. Huff, was killed in action, in defense of his country on January 28 in Italy. Letter follows."
