Robert Lee Jackson Dies in Epps

Last rites were held Friday morning at 10 o'clock from the Midway

Baptist Church for Robert Lee Jackson, 88, of Epps, who died 
Dec.1, 1955
at his home.Mr. Jackson was born Oct. 9, 1868 in Epps, 
to the late Mr. & Mrs. Thomas
Andrew Jackson of Epps, La. He was 
married January 10, 1889 to the
former Miss Sarah "Sallie" Calvit 
who preceded him in death in 1932.
The Rev. J.B. McCann, Pastor of 
the Epps Methodist church officiated at
the services and interment 
was in the Midway Cemetery. Catron-Gay
Funeral Home was in charge 
of arrangements.

Mr. Jackson is survived by a son, Willie Monroe 
Jackson of Epps, two
daughters: Mrs. Ed (Mary Virginia) Clark of 
Gulfport, Mississippi, and
Mrs. James (Ada) McMahan of Vicksburg, Miss.
 Three brothers: James
Richard (Jim) Jackson of Olney, Texas, 
Joe William Jackson & Thomas
Jefferson Jackson both of Epps, La. 
Eight Granchildren, 16 Great-
Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great 
Grandchildren.

Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by 2 sons: 
Tommy (1905) & Jesse Calvit
Jackson,(1948) and  one daughter, 
Estelle Jackson LeFevre (1915).
