JOHNSON Services This Afternoon Funeral services will be held this afternoon at two thirty at the Ballard Funeral chapel for Mrs. Louise Moore Johnson, former Roswell resident who died last Tuesday at Washington D.C. after an illness of four weeks. Rev. P. M. Carraway, pastor of the First M. E. church, South, will be in charge of the services. Mrs. H. P. Saunders and Mrs. Norma Brenneman will sing. With Mrs. C. W. Grier playing the accompaniment. The casket-bearers will be J. P. White Jr., Arden Boellner, Byron W. Lowrey, E. G. Minton, Sr., Dan H. Wilmont, and Charles Wiseley. Burial will be made at South Park. Mrs. Johnson was born Oct 5, 1907 at Oak Grove, La., and moved to Carlsbad with her family in 1911, coming to Roswell from there in 1924. She graduated from Roswell high school in May, 1925. On Jan. 3rd, 1926 she was married at Roswell to Roderick Johnson and from this union one child, Florance Anne Johnson was born. Mrs. Johnson left here in 1928 going to Washington, D.C. where she had been employed for the past four years as personnel clerk for the Public Works administration. In addition to her husband and daughter, Mrs. Johnson is survived by her mother, Mrs. Anne Moore of Roswell, by one sister, Mrs. Jewell Lowa of Lubbock, and by one brother, Willis Moore of Washington, D. C. The body arrived here on the train at 7:45 Friday evening accompanied by Mrs. Johnson's mother and brother. Other relatives here for the funeral are Mrs. Ralph Lowe, (Mrs. Johnson's sister) and husband from Lubbock; J. C. Wilson (Mrs. Moore's brother) and wife from Pecos, Texas; Mrs. C. W. Herring (Mrs. Moore's sister) and husband and son from Carlsbad; Mrs. J. A. Maddux, as sister of Mrs. Moore, from Stamford, Texas; Mrs. Glenn Bisch, a niece of Mrs. Moore from Hobbs; and two other nieces of Mrs. Moore; Mrs. Harry Cooper of Sante Fe and Mrs. Archie McIntyre of Clovis, both accompanied by their husbands.
