Lee, long-time and widely-known resident of West Carroll parish, died here early Monday morning, as a result of a heart attack. Funeral services and burial were conducted Monday afternoon. With many friends and relatives present at the Baptist Church, the Rev. L.H. Brooks, former Baptist pastor here, and the Rev. Howard E. Pfost, pastor of the Oak Grove Methodist Church, delivered the funeral sermon. Interment was made in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Lee was 68 years old. She had been in ill healkth for several months but had been confined to bed only for a few weeks. Death came at 3:45 o'clock a.m. Monday. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. M.J. Jones of Monroe and Mrs. Dan Whitaker of Oak Grove; four sons, Jesse Lee, local merchant and planter, Earl Lee, town marshal here; Roy Lee of Alsatia and Hughie Lee of Eudora, Ark. Several grandchildren and other relatives also survive. Mr. Lee died in 1909 Mr. and Mrs. Lee came here in 1901 rom Jackson. Mrs. Lee was, before her marriage, Miss Mary Noland.
