All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Monroe LeFevre Sr. Expired in Hospital, Hold Rites Friday Funeral services were held Friday at 3:00 p.m. from the Epps Methodist Church for Monroe LeFevre Sr., 71, of Epps, who died in a Monroe Hospital, Thursday of last week. The Rev. R.C. Wilbanks, assisted by the Rev. Basil Halbert, Epps Baptist Church Pastor officiated at the rites. Interment was in the Midway Cemetery under the direction of Kidder-Cox Funeral Home of Delhi. Mr LeFevre is survived by his widow, Mrs. Hallie Dew LeFevre, of Epps, three sons: Monroe Lefevre Jr. of Delhi, Walter LeFevre of Bossier City, La. and Blair LeFevre of Memphis, Tennessee. Six daughters: Mrs. Edna Miller and Mrs. Geraldine Coleman of Epps, Mrs. Evelyn Robinson of Crowville, La., Mrs. Iva Pearl Sewald and Mrs. Betty Flowers of Natchez, Mississippi and Mrs. Aline Brown of Pioneer, La. Pallbearers were: Ray Tharp, Norman Southern, Claude Corley, Amos Hawkins, H. Chellette and Billy Ragus. My Note-Monroe Fleming LeFevre was born-9 Dec. 1888. He died-14 July 1960. His parents were, Thomas William LeFevre & Sarah Alice McCain. Monroe LeFevre married first Estelle Jackson, daughter of Robert Lee Jackson & Sarah Calvit Jackson. Estelle LeFevre died in 1915. Monroe & Estelle Jackson LeFevre had 3 daughters: Edna, Iva Pearl & Evelyn LeFevre. Estelle Jackson LeFevre buried at Midway Cemetery also.
