Mrs. Tabitha Lee Lester Dies

Mrs. Tabitha Lee Lester, 83, a resident of West Carroll Parish since 
1894 died at the home of her neice, Mrs. Tom Brooks, in Monroe Sun-
day, where she had been living for the last twelve months.

Mrs. Lester moved to West Carroll Parish from East Feliciana Parish
in South Louisiana, where she was born.  She was married to Mr. J.A.
Lester of Oak Grove in March of 1899, with whom she lived until his 
death a number of years ago.  After which time she has been living in
the homes of her neices, Mrs. R.O. Corley of Oak Grove and Mrs. Tom
Brooks of Monroe.  She was a member of the Methodist Church and the
Eastern Star.

Funeral services were held in the Oak Grove Methodist Church Monday
afternoon with Rev. A.S.J. Niel and local Eastern Star Officating.
She was enterred in Oak Grove Cemetery.
