OBITUARY of L.C. Martin, published in “The Monroe Morning World” 
Monroe, Louisiana, July 2, 1977

L.C. Martin
OAK GROVE – Funeral services for L.C. Martin, 76, of Darnell, will be 
at 2 p.m. Sunday in Epps Baptist Church at Epps with the Revs. O. J. 
Adams, Dale Shelton and Pat Loftin officiating.
Burial will be in Epps Cemetery under the direction of Kidder-Cox 
Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
Mr. Martin died Friday morning in the Delhi Clinic at Delhi after a 
short illness.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Anis Martin of Darnell; one son, 
Lewis C. Martin of Epps; one brother, L.P. Martin of Coushatta; two 
sisters, Mrs. Gussie Madden of Ashdown, Ark. and Mrs. Fred Snyder of 
Austin, Tex.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.



NOTE:  Lewis Carson Martin was born on October 9, 1900 in Ringgold, LA 
to Lewis Ardis and Willie Jones McWilliams Martin; he died on July 1, 
1977.
