James Shepherd and Dr. John Sanders officiating. Interment followed in Mer Rouge Cemetery under the direction of Kidder-Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove. Mr. May died Saturday in Wyandotte, Mich., after a short illness. He was a lifelong resident of West Carroll Parish, a member of Forest Baptist Church, and a retired school bus driver and farmer. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lula Belle Eckels May, of Forest; a brother, George Nolan May, of Lafayette; and three sisters, Mrs. M. N. Funderburk, of Monroe, Mrs. Roberta Herr of Wyandotte, Mich., and Mrs. L. H. Butler, of Forest. Pallbearers were Hatten Tuggle, Russell Bracey, Howard Ainsworth, Bob Sanders, Dalton Canoy, and Thomas Sharplin. Honorary pallbearers were J. W. Alsbrooks, Burlie Traxler, Lee Edmonson, and Lonnie Crowe, deacons of Forest Baptist Church. Additional Comments: NOTE: Woodrow MAY was the son of George Lafayette MAY (1868-1932) and Annie Belle PATTIE (1875-1954).
